This one came out of nowhere, its not something that has happened in my life I just sat down one day to write some thoughts and this is what came from that.

She is hiding in the dark
Tears streaming down her face
Unsure if to move her hiding place

Peeking thru the cracks to see
Crying please don't hurt mummy

Should she yell out loud
Or has her mother taught her proud

Shaking and trembling at the sight
Mummy and daddy's major fight

Thinking if she's quiet
They will let her be
For nothing is fine as you see

Day after day they battle on
Till one day mummy is gone

A little girl with secrets in her eyes
Face daunt and taunt from all the lies

Struggling to keep the truth in
Surely helping daddy isn't a sin

A child torn apart inside
Shouldn't have secrets to hide

The fear of what happened to mummy
Forms the young mind today
For daddy's love she prays
For now but not always

Very beautiful... There's definitely truth within in because some kids do experience these terrible, terrible things. Ah, this poem reminds me of a song and a book. Ellen Hopkin's novel Identical and the song "Save Him" from Justin Nozuka. I highly recommend both.

I will definitly look for the book and the song thank you. I read alot of true stories the umm Lost boy etc very powerful books makes me thankful that even though my childhood was not the best I was blessed not to have to go thru that sort of thing.
