They are delicious and relatively easy to make! If you know how to fry eggs, damnit, you know how to make eggies in a basket! It's a great way to make a to-go breakfast for yourself. And don't ask me why they are called that...just...don't. I have no idea. Anyhow! HERE YOU GO!

What You Need
1 frying pan
Butter/Margarine
2 eggs, beaten (or if you're like me and prefer egg whites, 3 eggs cracking two without yolk and using the third with yolk)
2 slices of bread (wheat, white, hell...even a BAGEL!)

All right...here's how you do it.

First:
You get yourself a frying pan! Put on some butter/margarine and heat that sucker up! :]

Second:
Get your bread and cut a hole into the slices about the size of an egg. Put one slice onto the heated pan (If you're using a bagel, have the butt end facing you, hehehe). You'll notice it brown a bit which is what you want which will lead you to step number THREE!

Third:
You know those eggs that you beat to death? Pour them into the hole that you created in the bread! Now, you're probably wondering: Nia, what seasoning do I use for my eggs? Um, that's up to you, kids! Whatever you use normally to make your eggs then that is how you go about doing it. Salt, pepper, oregano, lime, lemon, apple juice, milk, poop...WHATEVER! lol Okay, if you're using excrement I would be worried.

Fourth:
Let it all cook on both sides (with bagels its a little trickier to see if the eggs are properly cooked, I don't know why...) until you see the eggs are done and your bread is toasted just the way you like it which should be a deep brown, but not burnt (Lord help you if you burn it...)

Fifth:
Turn off the heat, take it off the frying pan. Let the pan cool by running it with cold water and then repeat with the other slice!
***Note*** If you're one of those lucky mofos who have those HUUUGE pans where you could put both slices of bread on at the same time, GO YOU! Cuts the time down. ****

Sixth:
Get both your slices onto a plate and ENJOY! :]
