Yet another one, I love writing
Bolt of lightning from the sky
A teardrop falls from my eye
Laying just staring at the wall
Listening for the footsteps in the hall
Realisticly knowing they will never come
Gone is the time where our hearts beat as one
Yet still wistfully dreaming of all our fun
Wishing that forever wasnt over and done
A memory washes over my mind
Smiling softly going back in time
Seeing your sweet face shimmering there
Oh dont you know I still care?
Do you hear me crying out your name
Every night and day the same
Replaying the scene over and over again
God I cant stand the sight of rain
Feeling like I'm running in slow motion
It happened so quickly not registering the notion
Twisting and twirling from out of nowhere
The blinding flash of light amongst the shadow was to blame
Screaming Crying Yelling, Shaking you calling your name
Tears streaming down my drawn in face
Your eyes staring blankly in space
Why did it have to be you lying there
When all I need is you to be here
That day is the one I'll never forget
Sometimes I wish we had never met
They said the storm was a freak of nature
But it left my life with a bottomless crater
The bolt of lightning come out of the blue
It should have been anyone, anyone but you
I can scream and cry for all of eternity
But that wont bring you back to me
So for the time I have left on this world
I will wish and hope that one stormy day
