I have restarted mIRC several times and this time I am still showing:

Yes, it is down again guys. I just let everyone know on the facebook and myspace too. We're working on recoding the software quite a bit and we should be back up tonight.

Hmmm. Any word on when chat will be back up? There are rumors going around that it is down for good. I have tried to reassure that it isnt, but without word from someone I'm not sure what to say. Just need an estimated time or something to give them. Thanks
