My wish is for you to be here
I know not possible but still I make it
I love and miss you there is denying
Sometimes at night I lay there just crying
I look up at the stars at night
knowing that you are doing alright
But it doesnt stop the feeling inside
That you should still be by myside
The kids feel your presence not here
Yet trying not to show how much they care
Our hearts are heavy with sadness and sorrow
Wishing you could be back tomorrow
I know you are better where ever you are
Sometimes so near yet still very far
Missed birthdays and this Christmas too
Silent tears fall never forgetting you
If santa could grant me one wish
It would not be for a china dish
But for you to be here with us this year
